The Institute of Marketing Management of South
Africa is a professional, non-profit organization which has since
1949 pioneered training and education in the field of marketing
in South Africa. Customer needs is central to the business
strategy and it promotes the importance and understanding of
marketing as creator or wealth for individuals, companies and the
nation as a whole. The IMM is affiliated to various marketing
organization world-wide.
With a business membership of 5000 and student membership of 9000 the IMM is entering a new era as the New South Africa is becoming a global player. The strong demand for education and training is an opportunity for the IMM to contribute to the Reconstruction and Development Plan to uplift the underprivileged in South Africa.
The IMM consists of various branches throughout Southern Africa and each region conduct various seminars and informative events for members. Business members can become involved in special interest group which address the particular needs of that factor.
