The Australian Marketing Institute is a
national association representing marketing professionals
throughout Australia as well as on Regional and Global forums.
Our mission is "to lead, develop and promote the profession of marketing in Australia". To fulfil this mission, the Institute acts as the voice of the marketing profession and provides a range of programs, educational functions and networking opportunities to encourage the professional recognition and development of our members.
Important AMI programs which advance the standing of the profession and its practitioners include :
Certified Practicing Marketer (CPM) - providing an identifiable benchmark of the qualified, experienced professional;
AMI Marketing Reference and Compliance Manual -a comprehensive, regularly updated guide to compliance with the ever-expanding amount of legistration affecting marketers. This Manual is the first step in the translation of marketing laws into Practicing Standards which will lead to self-regulation of the profession;
AMI State and National Awards for Marketing Excellence, and the Sir Charles McGrath Marketer of the Year Award. These programs publicly recognize examples of successful marketing and underline the value of professional marketers to business and industry.

Who may join the Australian Marketing Institute?
The Institute is open to all persons practicing or interested in Marketing. Membership categories include Student Affiliate, Affiliate, Associate (AAMI), Associate Fellow (AFAMI) and Fellow (FAMI).
Overseas marketers are welcome to join the AMI as International members, and organizations are encouraged to participate by becoming Corporate Subscribers.
